Bridget Woods. |
Bridget
Woods studied all aspects of Art at Bournemouth & Poole College
of Art. In 1980 she spent a year in Aix-en-Provence developing her landscape
and portraiture in oils and watercolour, returning to England for her
first exhibition. Since then she has specialised in watercolour painting
and has held twenty-nine one-woman exhibitions in England, France and
Iceland and has exhibited at the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours.

Bridget's
main aim is to convey feeling and atmosphere, stimulated by subjects
ranging from weather, landscape and people to still-life and abstract
images through the unique 'alchemy' of transparent watercolour. Finding
teaching and painting both mutually nourishing, Bridget tutors courses
in landscape, figure and portrait, specialising in watercolour and pastel.
Abroad, she has led many courses in Iceland, Madeira and France (teaching
both in English and French) and is able to travel worldwide, by invitation,
to share her skills and love of watercolours.
Bridget has also been celebrating the release of her new book "Life Drawing, A journey to self-expression" which is also in stock HERE. We now have 11 new and exciting paintings from bridget, in the gallery now. |
